My experience using blogs.

Hi dear friends!

This is my last post in this semester and I will talk about my experience using blogs in the English class.

This situation was very difficult for me when I first started because make sentences in english is hard for me but when the time progressed it became increasingly easy and my writing skills have developed slowly. Sometimes writing was difficult because the English class was on Wednesday and that day I am usually very tired because I had to wait long for the class. Therefore I hardly think and I didn’t want write but the topics on which I had to speak were fun and I made me want to write because of this.

In the future I would like to include the use of obligatory terms in each blog because this method would allow to practice of these and it would be easier to learn to use them. It would also be useful to have the correction of each blog to learn from grammatical errors

if I had more time I would like to write about my favorite movies, books I like and don’t like, cartoons that I saw in my childhood or people that I admire but in any field, that is not related to my career necessarily.

How green am I?

Hi everyone!
Already it’s finishing the semester and there are few posts for writing. Today I will talk about how Green I am. It’s so difficult for me because I don’t consider a ecological person, but sometimes I do little efforts to recycle.

Lately I've noticed that exist more things that encourage recycling. Sometimes it is promoted through the media and the stores sell reusable bags or it gives discounts if you bring your own bag.

I have incorporated recycling into my habits because I don’t waste paper but I keep it in a bag and then I recycle it when I have much. Also when there are very large cardboard boxes I separate them and then leave them in cardboard containers.

I don’t use much bicycle or my legs instead of a car because I usually go to faraway places.
Lamentably I did not support eco – organizations because I don´t have enough time for this, I must study a lot and in my free time I enjoy with my boyfriend or family.

I would like to implement recyclable trash cans in more places like parks, malls, supermarkets and other crowded places. A while ago I gave the idea to implement this where I live and it was successful, now people really love to recycle!

For reduce the carbon footprint, I try to use my car as little as possible normally I use the public transport or walk if the distance is small.

I believe that is missing in our society about this issue is create more awareness and education about this because in the future we can seriously affect.

PET Practice 2

Hi Friends! this time, I must talk about the PET practical activities.

I think that Listening is a skill more challenging for me. I have trouble deciphering what people say because I don't know the pronunciation of all words. Is for this reason that “PET-listening part 2” was the most difficult task for me, because I understood little and I don’t remember everything I heard. The PET-reading is the easiest skill because the phrases appearing were easy to understand.

I hope to improve my English level soon, bye!

My favorite Subject this Semester

Hello my friends! Today I will talk about my favorite subject this semester: "Simulations for the profesional practice II"

This subject can be very stressful some times because teachers require us to do things in a short time so we are forced to learn fast. Despite this, I really like this subject because I learn all the features that a treatment should have to be effective and achieve heal a patient.
I have learned to make fixed prosthesis unit, inlay, endodontic treatments, etc. All this is very necessary for the practice of a good dentist.
Many teachers participate during the subject but few teachers are constantly engaged in preparing for the care of patients. One of these teachers are Natalia Concha,  She always taught us the proper way to treat a patient and all the procedures needed to know to do it.
Next year I will have many clinical subjects, which makes me really excited because it means that the clinic is increasingly close.
Although the clinical subjects often have problems because we need have patients to pass it, I'm looking forward to seeing patients soon.

Practice

In this post I’m going to write about an activity of platform. In the activities of Unit 4 “Facing Problems” I got the following results:

-Act 1: About the environmental problems we think that in Chile we have the same problem than England

-Act 2: I got 8/11 points

-Act 3: About grammar I got 48/68 points

Now, in the activities of Unit 5 “Financial Matters” I got the following results:

-Act 1: “You know when to save and when to splurge”

-Act 2: My rank about 10 tips to save money is the following:

1. Reduce electric expenses

2. Learn to do it yourself

3. Plan a weekly menu and stick to it.

4. Bringing a calculator along helps me curb expenses.

5. Shop clearance sales

6. Borrow instead of buy

7. Plan ahead for seasonal gift giving.

8. Cook all food from scratch.

9. Shop for sale items at the grocery store

10. Double check those medical bills.

-Act. 3: About financial vocabulary I got 25/30 points

-Act 4: Listening practice: I got 4/6 points

We think that a sense of personal distress. It often impairs a person's life in some way. Some people, shopping is a major leisure activity. For others, it can be like nicotine, alcohol or other drugs. In other words, those addicted to shopping find it difficult or even impossible to quit. These are the compulsive shoppers that we considered that whose lives are organized around a variety of shopping experiences as inappropriate, excessive, and out of control. this behavior is very bad to for health and development in the family and society.

the big problem in this carreer is the money, because the materials are very expensive and hard to find, ever walk for all santiago city searching a specifics thinks, but not ever we have lucky, however the carrer it is very funny , is hard and stressful but always it has a reward.

Summer plans!

Hello my dear friends!

Today I will talk about my summer plans.

I am eagerly waiting for that moment because it has been a busy year and I want to relax and don’t think about University. I’m going to go to Peru in February because I want know this country since a long time. I want to visit it because Peru has a lot of beautiful places and everything is cheap there, this is very important to have my first trip paid for me.

I am planning to go with my boyfriend, we already bought plane tickets and we going to travel with his friends too because they are very friendly. I think we going to enjoy being in group because we have many activities planned.

We want to visit Machu Picchu, Arequipa, Colca, among others places. In the last place exists a canyon where you can see condors flying over. Another thing I want to do is to taste many types of Peruvian food because I love this type of food.

People have told me that Peruvians are very friendly, the weather is quite unique and there are many places to go and have an outdoor adventure and this really catches my attention. The activity that strikes me most is going to Machu Picchu because we plan to come to Aguas Calientes walking through the jungle. We want to climb the mountain Huayna Picchu, although I am concerned that I won't feel good owing to the height.

I don’t want study in summer because this time of year is to relax and distracted from studies. Holidays are made to enjoy them!

Hi friends!

In this post I’m going to talk about my best friends.

I met my best friends at my high school. I studied in that school since 2010 and in that year I met my friends: Nicole, Mery, Gabriela, Katherine, Paula, Allison and many more.

Two years later, I switched to a biologist course and I was only classmate of Gabriela and Katherine, but in that moment I met four friends more: Maria Jose, Karen, Belen and Paz. I enjoyed to stay there with their because we did a lot of crazy. My stay at school was pleasant thanks to them and they always stay with me when I need support in a bad moment or when I need to make an important decision.

I don’t see them lately because I don’t have a lot of time since I started to study at University but I always try to see them sometime. We maintain contacted us and I think we’ll continue being friends in the future because I love their so much and they’ll always be special for me.

Last year I met five special friends at University: Nico, Kevin, Arely, Kika and Cote. We are friends since that we met us at University .I see them days that we have class and they are special for me because every day we do a lot of stupid things and we laugh a lot together. My days at University wouldn't be the same without them. I like we have a lot in common and that means that we get along very well.

I think to have friends is the best on the world!

Hello again!

This time, I must talk about the PET practical activities that are allowed PLATAFORMA.UCHILE.CL   . These activities talks about places that deserve to be visited, and  commons situations that help us to exercise our vocabulary and enhance our listening skills.  Personally, the activities wasn’t very difficult for me, I enjoyed reading about so amazing places, but I must admit that the listening activities was tough for me. The audio transcript was really useful for this activities.

Thinking about places that i want to visit someday, inside of the list of the activity “places to stay”, there is one that is specially interesting for me: the Taj Mahal. This building has a romantic origin, as a mausoleum for the beloved third wife of the emperor Shah Jahan. On the other hand, I’m a big fan of the Indian culture and architecture. For me, this would be a journey that I could not forget.

As the last requirement for this post, I must say that the study of english speech, a foreign lenguaje for me, is really useful for my future and the study of dentistry. If I want to visit another country, the english language is more universal that spanish, and comunícate with another people would be easier, and about dentistry, the skill of understand the english language is useful, because a enormous quantity of scientist evidence about stomatognathic system are in this language and didn’t have translation.

My future job.

Hi everyone! In this post I will talk about my future job.

Well, I'm studying odontology at University of Chile and I'm planning to work in a hospital in Santiago. I live in Peñaflor and Santiago is far from my home, but I'm used to travel there every day and I think that exist more diversity in this place because I think I would see in Peñaflor every day the same. I would like to travel in my job for know different realities within the country and to have training courses because it’s very important in the healthy area, all professionals should have updated information to provide adequate attention.

I would like to continue my studies with a doctorate in Bucco-Maxillofacial Implantology because I would smile back at people who have lost it and to improve their self-esteem and quality of life. If I do this, I would have to do clinical work and office work because implantologists should devote much study the cases of their patients to give a good treatment.

I think that I will be very happy working in my profession because I always have liked to help to other people. I think it is the ideal job for me and I never regret studying dentistry because despite sometimes it's stressful, is a beautiful career.

Breaking Bad: My favorite series.

Hello my dear friends! Today, I’m going to talk about my favorite series.

I don’t consider me a person who sees much television therefore I don’t know a lot of series, but when I saw my first episode of “Breaking Bad” I knew this series was for me.

It tells the story of Walter White, a struggling high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer, who, together with his former student Jesse, turns to a life of crime, producing and selling crystallized methamphetamine to secure his family's financial future before he dies.

Breaking Bad is widely regarded as one of the greatest television series of all time. I like this serie because it contains much suspense and it's characterized by having his characters in situations that apparently don't have escape.

I consider that the best kinds of series are the stories of suspense and drama because it keeps you immersed in the series and it makes you want don't miss any chapter.

When I will have free time I would like to see “The orange is the new black” because many people have told me that this series is phenomenal. I would also like to see "The walking dead" because my brother always tells me about this series.

I want to have holidays soon to see these series all day from Netflix, I love this application because it has many great films and series.

My favorite food!

Hi dear friends!

I will talk about my favorite food. This theme is very difficult for me because I love food and sometimes I think I’m quite gluttonous, in fact my boyfriend nicknamed me "Chanchalen". I like a lot of kinds of food but I think that my favorite foods are pizza and french fries.

I like pizza because I like all ingredients it contains, especially the melted cheese and I like french fries because are delicious and I can accompany it with other foods like meat, eggs, sausage, chicken, etc.

I eat those meals at least once a month each, I wish eat this more times, but it is fast food and I fatten much. When I eat pizza I usually go to “Papa Johns” or I cook in my house and when I eat french fries I usually go to “Teclados”, in this restaurant the french fries contains sour cream, melted cheese and meat and it’s very delicious, I love go to Teclados.

When I don’t have much money, I cook this foods in my house because these meals are easy to cook and I like cook.

My best holidays

In this post I will talk about my best holidays I've been to in my life.

It was 2 years ago, in Punta Arenas. I went there with my familiy (my mom, sister, brother, brother-in-law and my niece). We stayed in Punta Arenas for one week, but this time was adequate for to meet a lot of places.



We met Torres del Paine, Fuerte Bulnes, Puerto Natales, Cueva del Milodon, Isla Magdalena, when I could see penguins. This trip is the best of my life because all places was wonderful and the weather was very particular.

Sometimes it was a little hot, but the wind was very strong and icy, especially in Torres del Paine. Despite this, I really liked this place because the scenery was beautiful, with different colored lakes, glaciers, and other mountains called “Cuernos del Paine” and all that made the landscape unforgettable.

Another interesting thing is dusk were very late, sometimes it was 9pm and was still clear sky.
I wish to go in other opportunity because I’d like have more time to travel for this places, especially Torres del Paine.

A country I’d like to visit: Peru.

Hi Friends!

In my first post I’m going to talk about a country I’d like to visit. This country is Peru, I want to visit it because Peru has a lot of beautiful places and everything is cheap there, this is very important to have my first trip paid for me.

I don’t know If I would like to live there because I have to know more their culture to decide this, but probably I'll know after my trip.
